Figs & Smoked Mozzarella Wrapped in Prosciutto
Smoky, salty and sweet, these prosciutto-wrapped figs with smoked mozzarella are a perfectly balanced appetizer that only takes a few minutes to throw together. They’re a great addition to a holiday spread and make for a classy upgrade to your game-day finger foods.

Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs with Smoked Mozzarella
Ingredients
- 24 dried figs, stems removed
- 8 ounces smoked mozzarella, cut into small rectangles
- 24 Parma prosciutto slices
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons grappa
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 6 basil leaves, julienned for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Remove the stems of the figs, and cut an incision through the top. Stuff the fig with a slice of smoked mozzarella. Wrap the stuffed fig in prosciutto.
Arrange the pieces in a baking dish, and drizzle with the olive oil and grappa. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and place the prosciutto-wrapped figs on a platter. Sprinkle with the julienned basil.
