A Refreshing Tropical Fruit & Herb Punch
Here is another recipe from my KitchenAid demo in Chicago this past weekend. The fresh herbs help cut the sweetness of the fruit, while the lime and serrano chile give this adult beverage a refreshing kick.
Island-Style Basil Cocktail
- 1 cup mixed fresh mint, cilantro & basil
- 1 cup diced pineapple
- 4 ripe passion fruits (fresh), halved, pulped and strained
- 1/2 of a Serrano Chile, chopped
- 1/3 cup simple syrup
- 5 cups of ice
- 3 tablespoons ginger, chopped
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 cup light rum
Combine all of the ingredients in a high speed blender. Puree until smooth.
