Beautiful Cuisine from the Italian Riviera

As the sister restaurant of Michael White’s Marea, Ai Fiori has a Michelin star and an exciting Italian menu. We had a hard time choosing among the many interesting courses but started with the lobster veloute, the chilled corn soup with crab, and a crudo of fluke with American sturgeon and creme fraiche. For pastas we chose the veal agnolotti with eggplant puree and veal jus, and a ravioli of pork shoulder and belly with parmesan cheese. The dessert menu is thoughtful and includes a chocolate tart with chocolate mousse. Ai Fiori is in an attractive space overlooking 5th Avenue at 37th Street.
