    Andrew sits on the Board of Directors of SUS, which provides support services to homeless and economically disadvantaged New Yorkers with special needs due to a disability, homelessness, HIV/AIDS, inadequate education, substance abuse, or a history of institutionalization.

    Andrew is a member of City Harvest’s esteemed Food Council, dedicated to spreading awareness, raising funds and donating high quality food to help feed hungry New Yorkers. City Harvest is NYC’s largest food rescue organization, helping to feed the nearly 1.2 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables.

    Verlasso is on the cutting edge of innovation in the aquaculture industry, driving advancements to make aquaculture sustainable for our oceans. Andrew was enlisted by Verlasso to document and promote the company’s aquaculture initiatives.

  • Badia Spices

    Andrew has partnered with Badia Spices to develop a line of spice blends inspired by his travels. These all-purpose spice blends capture the essence of his favorite cuisines around the world.

  • Culinary Institute of America

    Andrew hosted the three part 2019 Conversations at Copia in partnership with the Culinary Institute of America as a way to publicize, educate and amplify the hard conversations around social justice and food.

  • Taste of the NFL

    Andrew sits on the Board of Directors of Taste of the NFL, a non-profit organization dedicated to kicking hunger in America. Andrew is an active participant in fundraising efforts, promoting their Kick Hunger Challenge campaign and hosting the Party with a Purpose fundraising event.

  • Project Explorer/EXPLR

    Andrew sits on the board of Project Explorer, a non-profit with a mission to bring the world into classrooms with free video content and curriculum that fosters global awareness and cross-cultural understanding.

  • Babson College

    Andrew is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Babson College where he shares his experiences and mentors Babson students through a partnership with The Lewis Institute’s Social Innovation Lab to further innovation in the food system.

  • James Beard Foundation

    Through the James Beard Foundation and the Culinary Institute of America, he funds Andrew Zimmern’s Second Chances Scholarships which offers a student that has faced insurmountable challenges a second chance to follow their culinary pursuits.

  • International Rescue Committee

    The International Rescue Committee named Andrew as the IRC Voice For Nutrition. Andrew works to improve the nutritional options of resettled refugees in the United States, focuses on global malnutrition and raises awareness of the IRC’s New Roots program.

  • No Kid Hungry

    Andrew is proud to support No Kid Hungry through the distribution of AZ and the Lost City of Ophir. No Kid Hungry is a charitable campaign created by Share Our Strength that has fed 775 million meals to children since its inception in 2010.


    Through local partners in Sub-Saharan Africa, CTAOP educates and invests in young people, empowering them to stay safe from HIV/AIDS and change the world they live in. Andrew has been a staunch supporter for years and has brought their mission into the lives of others ever since.

    Ever since Andrew’s friend Ashley Stanley began Lovin’ Spoonfuls back in 2010, he has been a strong supporter of their mission to facilitate the rescue and distribution of healthy, fresh food that would otherwise be discarded.
