Andrew sits on the Board of Directors of SUS, which provides support services to homeless and economically disadvantaged New Yorkers with special needs due to a disability, homelessness, HIV/AIDS, inadequate education, substance abuse, or a history of institutionalization.

Andrew is a founding member of the Independent Restaurant Coalition (IRC), which was formed to save restaurants affected by COVID-19. IRC was founded on the simple belief that there is power to affect legislative change if we unite our voice.

Andrew is a member of City Harvest’s Food Council, dedicated to spreading awareness, raising funds and donating food to help feed hungry New Yorkers. City Harvest is NYC’s largest food rescue, helping to feed nearly 1.2 million New Yorkers every year.

Andrew is a member of the Twin Cities Restaurant Coalition, a collective voice to advocate for the health and prosperity of independent restaurants and bars with a culinary program in the Twin Cities through advocacy, shared knowledge, and collaborative communication.

Andrew sits on the Board of Directors of Taste of the NFL, a non-profit organization dedicated to kicking hunger in America. Andrew is an active participant in fundraising efforts, promoting their Kick Hunger Challenge campaign and hosting the Party with a Purpose fundraising event.

Andrew is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Babson College where he shares his experiences and mentors Babson students through a partnership with The Lewis Institute’s Social Innovation Lab to further innovation in the food system.

Through the James Beard Foundation and the Culinary Institute of America, he funds Andrew Zimmern’s Second Chances Scholarships which offers a student that has faced insurmountable challenges a second chance to follow their culinary pursuits.

International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee named Andrew as the IRC Voice For Nutrition. Andrew works to improve the nutritional options of resettled refugees in the United States, focuses on global malnutrition and raises awareness of the IRC’s New Roots program.

Andrew is proud to support No Kid Hungry through the distribution of AZ and the Lost City of Ophir. No Kid Hungry is a charitable campaign created by Share Our Strength that has fed 775 million meals to children since its inception in 2010.

Through local partners in Sub-Saharan Africa, CTAOP educates and invests in young people, empowering them to stay safe from HIV/AIDS and change the world they live in. Andrew has been a supporter for years and has brought their mission into the lives of others ever since.
