Minnesota Food Truck Fair
It’s that time of year again, so get out of the house, soak up some rays and head to the Minnesota Food Truck Fair in Uptown for great food and live music. Now in its third year, they’ve really expanded the festival with dozens of trucks offering cuisines from all over the world–Hola Arepa with their amazing Latin street food, Israeli bites from Foxy Falafel, “indurritos” from Hot Indian Foods, and on Andrew Zimmern’s Canteen, dishes inspired by my travels around the globe. Food trucks will be parked along Hennepin Avenue (south from Lake Street to 31st Street), down 31st Street and up Holmes Avenue, along with live music (check out The Blu Print Band!) and locally handcrafted beer from Lucid Brewery. Proceeds from all wristband sales will benefit Minnesota Internship Center, a public charter high school, helping low income and homeless teens complete their high school education.
New this year is the $5 Pair Share: Each food truck will offer a signature dish at $5 so you and a friend can try more dishes without breaking the bank. You’ll definitely want to stop by my food truck for the five dollar smoked brisket slider with maple hot sauce and vinegar slaw. Hope to see you there!
