We are the North. Let’s celebrate it.
Northerners don’t apologize for winter—they embrace it. The Great Northern, a new collaborative winter experience founded by event leaders in the Twin Cities, has recently announced an exciting lineup of 10 days of outdoor winter dining events. It’s time to celebrate this place we call home (and the weather that comes with it).
This year’s events range from the U.S. Pond Hockey Tournament and a popup at the St. Paul Farmers Market, to a Surly Beer Garden at The Loppet Ski Festival and the Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival. Perhaps most exciting of all is the Winter Table from the chefs of Spoon and Stable, Meritage and The Bachelor Farmer, where the street will be closed in Minneapolis’ bustling North Loop neighborhood to make room for a luminary-lined table set for 100, flanked by warming bonfires (seafood towers, Faribault Woolen Mill blankets and handmade s’mores kits included).
It’s going to be unreal. Head to The Great Northern to learn more about this winter’s event lineup.
