Help Support Snowbate
Snowbate is a vital incentive program for the production industry in Minnesota. These rebates keep film and commercial production in the state, creating jobs and exposure for tourism.
We are in the final weeks of this year’s legislative session. Right now, there’s a bill in the Senate that includes additional funds for Snowbate. Meanwhile, there’s a bill in the House in which the existence of the MN Film and TV Board and the Snowbate program is severely threatened.
Here’s what we can do to help support the production industry and Snowbate:
1) Email or contact your House and Senate members with the simple message, “I’m your constituent. I work in the production industry. Please support funding for Minnesota’s film production jobs program, also known as Snowbate.” Even if you’ve already done so, please do it again to reinforce the message. (If you don’t know who represents you, find out here)
AND
2) If you have time to contact all of the legislators below please do. If not, then please focus on the House members. If you live or work in the districts represented by the House members below, call them with that same message. If you know anyone who lives or works in those districts, please ask them to contact these House Members in support of Snowbate.
