Building a proper cheese plate is like composing a harmonious piece of music, you need to hit the high notes, the low notes and everything in between. Start with a mix of five diverse cheeses. The Ultimate Cheese Platter
- Canvas-wrapped cheddar cheese, such as Isles of Mull cheese from Scotland
- Sheep’s milk cheese, such as Ossau-Iraty from France
- Soft-ripened goat’s milk cheese with a bloomy rind, such as Leonora from northern Spain
- Mild blue cheese, such as Fourme D’Ambert from France
- Washed-rind cheese, such as Willoughby from Vermont
Arrange on a board and garnish with grapes, marcona almonds, pears, peppadew peppers, berries and a drizzle of honey.
