The Navigator’s Table
My whole life has been a journey of discovery, traveling the world looking for the exotic, bizarre and unusual. I know how important it is to try something new and get out of your comfort zone. I’m proud to bring those experiences to Renaissance Hotels with the brand new original series The Navigator’s Table.
During this six-episode unscripted series, I’m hosting influential chefs and food insiders in Chicago, Nashville and New York, inviting them to divulge their favorite local spots and the best way to experience their city. In the premiere episode, I’ve invited an eclectic group of friends to dinner at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel—Christina Grdovic, publisher of Food & Wine magazine; Billy Dec, restaurateur and entrepreneur; Lee Wolen, James Beard award-winning chef at BOKA; Louisa Chu, chef and TV personality; and Kara Lichtenstein, food blogger and social media maven.
I’m serving these all-star dinner guests a few of my favorite dishes at The Navigator’s Table—a version of my grandmother’s tomato aspic with sea urchin and crab, grilled octopus with barcon lardon and frisee, and veal tongue with tonnato sauce.
