Support Harlem
After a tragedy like the East Harlem explosion, it is hard to see the beauty. But the beauty comes from a community coming together to support each other through hard times. Marcus Samuelsson and Red Rooster Harlem are hosting a fundraiser the evening of April 2 to aid the families and individuals affected by the East Harlem explosion at 116th Street and Park Avenue on the morning of March 12, 2014.
The evening will be a celebration of the Harlem community. The American Red Cross Greater New York Region has established an East Harlem Fund that will be used to aid the families with daily necessities and resources for recovery. All proceeds from the evening will go this fund.
The American Red Cross Greater New York is doing amazing things every day to help a community who has seen hard times. They are the largest chapter in the United States and need support to help with emergency relief.
