Going Back For Seconds
I’m really excited to announce my second design collaboration with eyebobs, the limited-edition frame we call the Sun of Zimm. Making its debut for spring 2015, Sun of Zimm will be served up two ways—as sun readers ($79) and polarized sunglasses ($125). Like the previous collaboration, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the frames will benefit the James Beard Foundation, an organization devoted to nurturing and preserving America’s diverse culinary heritage and future. I’ve partnered with the JBF to create the Second Chances Scholarship, a program that allows a student faced with extreme challenges—whether health, addiction, family, unemployment, etc.—a second chance to overcome hardships and follow a culinary path. Applications for the 2015 scholarships will be available starting on April 1, 2015.
Sun of Zimm is the perfect follow-up to last year’s frame The Zimm; it represents the intersection of function and style. Thanks to eyebobs, we can offer the best sun readers and sunglasses while helping the James Beard Foundation make a difference for those who want to become culinarians.
