Congratulations JBF Award Winners!
As always, I had a fantastic time at the annual James Beard Foundation Awards, the nation’s most prestigious awards ceremony honoring professionals in the food and beverage biz. I’m so proud to be a part of this amazing organization that works hard on education, agriculture issues, food insecurity and hunger relief. You name it, they’re are on it. Our charitable work with scholarships ensures that a new generation of American culinarians are ready to take on the hard work as we move forward.
Winners of the JBF’s annual Book, Broadcast, and Journalism Awards were presented last week at Pier Sixty in New York City, during a ceremony hosted by Carla Hall. Awards in the Restaurant, Chef and Design categories were presented May 4 in Chicago at the Lyric Opera, hosted by Alton Brown. Thank you to everyone who put the event together and a big congratulations to all of the nominees and winners!
