When I decided I wanted to do television some of my first appearances were on local news shows as a food expert. Here is one of those appearances from 1997 where I demonstrated how to make a lamb and raita dish on Everyday Living, a Twin Cities-based morning show. You might recognize the host of the show as CNN reporter Randi Kaye, who at the time was a local news anchor. It just wouldn’t be morning television without all the bad puns and “flirting,” but my personal favorite bit comes at the end of the video when viewers are told to send in a self-addressed stamped envelope in order to get the recipe. Thank God for the internet. All that said, I will say that lamb and raita dish is still one of my favorites.
