The Southside

Makes 4 drinks

The Southside


  • 3 Helados Mexico Lime Paletas
  • 1-2 cups ice
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1/3 cup loose packed fresh mint leaves
  • 1/3 cup loose packed fresh basil leaves
  • ½ cup sugar, or to taste, mixed with ½ cup cold water


Puree all ingredients in a blender until homogeneous and herbs are completely pureed. Sometimes depending on your blender size, you might need some cold water to loosen and puree this mixture.

Serve as a non-alcoholic option or with Flor de Caña 12 year old rum if you want some adult options.

Garnish with mint sprigs
