Simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and a handful basil and mint leaves make for the perfect lemonade. A simple and easy method that works perfectly every time!
Frozen Mint-Basil Lemonade
- ¼ cup loose packed Nature’s Basket organic mint leaves
- ¼ cup loose packed Nature’s Basket organic basil leaves
- 6 cups ice
- 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup Giant Eagle granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
Combine the water and sugar over low heat in a saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Pour this simply syrup into a sturdy mixer, add the remaining ingredients and puree until homogenous and the herbs are fully incorporated. Serve.
I keep a small pitcher of warm water to induce the blending. Sometimes it’s needed and sometimes not, it depends on the blender, the size, the temperature of liquid ingredients and so on.
