My friend Tom Colicchio over at Plate of the Union is excited to announce the launch of its Campus Challenge and we want to spread the word to politically engaged college students who care about food advocacy. Plate of the Union’s Campus Challenge is a youth-driven effort to get campuses organized to push political candidates to talk about food issues. Plate of Union’s Campus Challenge will award funding to the four teams of college students with the winning campus outreach plans to drive voter registration and engagement around food issues in the 2016 election.
This challenge is an exciting opportunity for students to design and execute a tangible organizing effort around an issue highly relevant to young people. Teams of college students in Colorado, Iowa, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania are invited to apply here by submitting a team roster by February 29 and their final application by March 21.
