Summertime Recipe Round-up
The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. There’s no better way to celebrate America’s independence (and my birthday) than sitting around with the family, swimming, grilling up my favorite meat, noshing on fresh summer eats and indulging my inner pyro. Here are a few of my top picks, from a citrusy tomatillo-avocado salsa and cold cucumber soup, to skewered chicken satays and shish kebabs (I even threw in an old stand-by for good measure, my one-pot sticky chicken wings). If you’re making cocktails, be sure take advantage of the summer produce and incorporate fresh herbs for a new, fragrant twist on classic drinks.
